A couple weeks ago, Amy and I flew up to Seattle, Washington for the weekend. Amy's brother, his girlfriend, and their two boston terriers let us stay with them for a few days. With cameras in hand and desire for a change of scenery at heart, we prepared for some serious sight-seeing and unplanned adventure.
James Turrell's skyspace at the University of Washington was brilliant!
The view from the Cascades National Forest was beautiful!
(The waterfront near the aquarium.)
Pike's Place Market was seriously one of the coolest places ever!
...and we HAD to visit the 1st ever Starbucks.
(I just really liked this drain pipe.)
We met up with Terese while we were there!
...and went to the Space Needle and the EMP by Frank Gehry.
...and saw a piece of the Berlin wall... no joke!
...and basked in the rosy light of that marvelous structure...
a beautiful view of the city.
A fabulous last-minute adventure in one of the prettiest cities I've seen yet. Aims, thanks so much for your company and friendship! You made it so much more fun. :)
